RESOLUTION'.NO. 79 -25
A RESOLUTION regarding the administration
of the HUD Block Grant Small Cities Program:
WHEREAS, Whatcom,.County will apply for a Housing and
Urban Development Community Development Small Cities
Block Grant, and;
WHEREAS, one of the purposes of this grant is to
provide a housing rehabilitation program for Blaine
by making available low- interest loans or grants to
low- moderate income families, and to provide other
grant- eligible services in the City of Blaine, and;
WHEREAS, an administrator Will be needed to implement
the programs and to coordinate the activities of the
program in Blaine, and;
WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Housing Authority has the
experience and the resources to do so;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:
The Whatcom County Council intends to have the Whatcom County
Housing Authority be the administrator of the Housing and
Urban Development Community Development Small Cities Block
Grant Program in the City of Blaine,
