Proposed No. Water District No. 16
RESOLUTION NO. 79 -20
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN FOR WATER
SUPPLY AND DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM AS ADOPTED FOR AND BY
WHATCOM COUNTY WATER DISTRICT NO. 16 ON THE 12th OF JULY,
1979.
WHEREAS, Whatcom County Water District No. 16 (Water District) is
a properly formed and authorized Water District of Whatcom County,
and
WHEREAS, the Water District heretofore on July 12, 1979, adopted
and approved by Resolution (Resolution No. 14 of Water District) a
comprehensive plan for a water supply and distribution system for
the Water District and providing a method for paying and distributing
the cost of said plan and
WHEREAS, this proposed comprehensive plan has been reviewed and ap-
proved by both the Health and Engineering Departments of the County
and
WHEREAS the Water District cannot use or implement said comprehensive
plan without the approval by Resolution of the Whatcom County Council
together with the written approval of both the County Engineering
and IIealth Departments and
WHEREAS the County Council finds no objections to the proposed com-
prehensive plan, now therefore
BE IT RESOLVED:
1. The Whatcom County Council approves by the Resolution the
general comprehensive plan for water supply and distribution system
as adopted by Water District #16 on July 12, 1979 by the Water Dis-
trict Resolution No. 14.
2. This Resolution is passed in accordance with the requirements
of RCW 57.16. 010 which requires that before a comprehensive water plan can
become effective the plan shall be submitted to and approved by resolu-
tion of the legislative authority of the County within whose boundary
the Water District lies.
