RESOLUTION NO. 79 -12
REPEALING THAT RESOLUTION PREVIOUSLY
PASSED'BY THE BOARD OF WHATCOM COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS ON THE 26TH DAY OF
FEBRUARY, 1979, IN THE MATTER OF RE-
DUCING THE SPEED LIMIT ON WHATCOM
COUNTY ROADS UNLESS OTHERWISE POSTED.
WHEREAS, the Board of Whatcom County Commissioners
on the 26th day of February 1979, pursuant to Chapter 46.44 of
the Revised Code of Washington, reduced the speed limits upon
Whatcom County roads to promote the public health, safety and
general welfare and to prevent, severe road damage, severe
depletion of road funds and to lessen the likelihood of law-
suits regarding road conditions; and
WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Engineer has now deter-
mined that a severe rain, snow, and climatic conditions have
subsided;
NOW, THEREFORE, B_;'IT- RESOLVED as follows:
Section 1: That Resolution signed by the Board of
Whatcom County Commissioners on 26th day of February, 1979 in
the matter of reducing the speed limits on Whatcom County roads
unless otherwise posted, is hereby repealed.
