RESOLUTION NO. 80 -61
A RESOLUTION ADOPTING PERSONNEL RECOMMEND-
ATIONS OF DONWORTH TAYLOR AND COMPANY
WHEREAS, Whatcom County previously entered into a con-
sulting contract with DONWORTH TAYLOR and COMPANY to assist in
orgainizing the Whatcom County Personnel System; and
WHEREAS, DONWORTH TAYLOR and COMPANY have completed
their evaluation of the Whatcom Countv Personnel System and.. have
forwarded a recommendation to Whatcom County in the manner of
establishing a new Classification and Pav Plan for Whatcom County -
employees; and
WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Council has reviewed and
endorses the establishment of the recommended. Classification and
Pay Plan;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that it is the intent
of the Whatcom Countv Council to adopt and implement the
recommendation of DONWORTH TAYLOR and COMPANY to establish a
Single Salary Structure creating twenty -eight (.28) salary ranges
and an eight (8) step pay plan for each range.
BE IT ALSO•RFSOLVED that the aforesaid Classification
and Pav Plan shall be finalized and implemented beginning with
the 1981 budget year and that Whatcom County take steps through
negotiations to place all Whatcom County employees on the Class-
ification Pay plan through negotiations between Whatcom County and
Resolution - 1.

the respective bargaining representatives.
