RESOLUTION NO. 80 -59
A RESOLUTION IN THE MATTER OF SUB -
MITTING TO THE VOTERS A PROPOSAL TO
ANNEX THE CITY OF FERNDALE INTO THE
WHATCOM COUNTY RURAL tIBRARY- DI$TRICT
WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Council has received City
of Ferndale Ordinance No. 605 requesting initiation of the process
of calling an election on.the question of whether the City of-
Ferndale should be annexed to and be a part of the Whatcom County
Rural Library District by declaring the requisite intent to do
so and public interest to be served thereby; and,
WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Library Board of Trustees
on August 12, 1980, passed a motion concurring in placing Ordina
No. 605, to annex the City of Ferndale to the Whatcom County
Ruural-..Library'.Distr.i.ct on the ballot.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:
The Whatcom County Council shall present to the County
Auditor's Office a proposition to be placed on the ballot for
the general election to be held November 4, 1980; said propositi
shall state as follows:
Shall the City of Ferndale be annexed
to and be a part of the Whatcom County
