COUNTY GAS TP.Y PFVFNUF FROM TI'F STTTF OF WASHINGTON. PREAMBLF: In 1975 under Agreement No. ('P 373QP, Project No. 87, between Whatcom Countv and the State of Washington, relating to the construction of the California Creek Pridcre, Whatcorr County ohlicrated it- self to the State to pay a portion of the bridge con- struction costs. In 1976 approximately $73,000.00 was withheld from Whatcom County from gas tax proceeds to providefor that debt. It has been recently discovered that Whatcom County owes an additional $6,586.88 on the project. Since this is a debt of a prior year and was not specific- ally budgeted for the County Road Fund for 1980, the best available option in order to pay this debt is to authorize gas tax revenue to be withheld in the amount of $6,586.88. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that authorization is hereby granted for the reservation in 1980 of $6,586.88 from the 1980 County aas tax revenues from the State of Washington from monthly fuel tax allotments anticipated to accrue to the County in the motor vehicle fund. These amounts withheld shall apply to the debt Whatcom County owes the State with reference to Agreement No. GR3738R, Project No. 87, i.e., the California Creek Bridge Con- struction Project.
