A RESOLUTION IN THE MATTER OF ADOPTING A
SALARY SCHEDULE FOR NON -UNION COUNTY EM-
PLOYEES
WHEREAS, it is necessary to establsih the salaries of the non-
union County Employees.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
1. That the salary of the Prosecuting Attorney shall be
$37,413.48 per year effective January 1, 1980, through
December 31, 1980.
2. That the salary of the Prosecuting Attorney be adopted
as the "base salary ".
3. That the salaries of the other non -union employees
except for the Elected Offi:_i.als be set as a per -
cent�_ge of the "base salary" as per the schedule,
attached as Exhibit "A ".
4. The salaries of 11Ihatcom County Elected Officials shall
be as set forth on the attached schedule.
5. That all changes in benefits and salary a.s a result of
this Amended .Resolution shall become effective January
1, 1980,
6. That the non -union employees shall be entitled to all.
the benefits as the employees covered by the Inside
Collective Bargaining Agreement except for the follow -
ing:
1. Step increases;
2. Longevity increases;
3. Work Schedule;
4. Merit system; and
5. Overtime unless specifically
authorized by statute
1 PROVIDED, hoN,aever, that the non -union employees shall
continue to be covered under Washington Dental Service
2 Group Plan No. 126.

7. Any changes in salary or classification (% of Pros -
4 ecuting Attorney's salary) of any non -union employees
covered by the attached schedule must receive prior
5 approval of the Whatcom County Council. PROVIDED,
-that vacant, non -union positions can be advertised
6 with a. range, the maximum being the salary listed on
the attached schedule. When the position is filled,
7 council is to be notified if the salary is less than
that stated. in the Resolution so that proper adjust -
8 ment can be made.

10 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Resolution No. 79 -38 of the
11 County Council of Whatcom County, Washington, dated the 28th day
12 of November, 1979, is :hereby rescinded and. that this Resolution
13 shall be retroactive to January 1, 1980.
