RESOLUTION NO.= gO--7
A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE REENACTMENT
OF THE GENERAL REVENUE SHARING ACT
WHEREAS, Federal Revenue Sharing expires in 1980, and
WHEREAS, General Revenue Sharing has proven to be the single most
efficient program for returning federal tax dollars to our citizens
in the form of services, and

WHEREAS, many basic county services vital to the constituents we
represent will have to be discontinued or have to be cut if Revenue
Sharing is lost, and
WHEREAS, the re- enactment of this program will be important in
sustaining the local - state - federal partnership which currently
exists,
N0W, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that we urge the Washington State
Congressional Delegation to support re- enactment of the General
Revenue Sharing Program for a five year period with such adjustment
as is necessary in the annual amount appropriated to keep pace
with inflation.
