HomeMy WebLinkAboutres1981-0581 DATE: December 3, 1981 INTRODUCED BY: Hansey 2 PROPOSED BY: Engineering; Dept, 3 RESOLUTION NO 81 -58 A RESOLUTION IN THE MATTER OF THE 6 FORMATION OF WHATCOM COUNTY ROAD IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 5 7 ',WEREAS, the Whatcom County Council has received a petition to initiate formation of a County Road Improvement District 10 for the improvement of Coronado Avenue, Lewis Avenue, and Columbus Avenue, in' portions of the plats of Geneva P.mended and South �? Geneva, in Section 35, Township 38 North, Range 3 East of W.M.$ to 13 Whatcom County standards; and, 1.4 WHEREAS pursuant to P.CW 36.88.060 a hearing upon said 15 petition was held; and, 16 WHEREAS, the County Council has determined that the 17 petition is sufficient in form and the plan of.. improvement feasibl 18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL17ED AS FOLLOWS: 19 1. That the petition for creation of the Road Improve- 20 ment be and hereby is granted. 21 2. That such district shall be known'as the Whatcom 22 County Road Improvement District No. 5. 3. That the nature and territorial extent of the im- 24 provements shall consist of the construction of Coronado Avenue' 25 between Fremont Avenue and Lewis Avenue, and the construction of 26 Lewis Avenue and Columbus Avenue between'Beecher Avenue and 27 Coronado Avenue, all to Whatcom County standards. 28 4. That the boundaries of the Road Improvement District ­_29 shall be as set forth in the legal description attached hereto as 30 Exhibit "A ". 31 5. That the method of assessment shall be based upon 32 the cost per square foot of the improvements.
