RESOLUTION NO. 81 -55
A RESOLUTION IN THE MATTER OF ADOPTING WHATCOM
COUNTY WATER DISTRICT NO. 17's COMPREHENSIVE
WATER SYSTEM PLAN
WHEREAS, Revised Code of Washington 57.16.010 provides that a
county water district is required to prepare a comprehensive plan
for water distribution within its boundaries; and
WHEREAS, the Commissioners of Whatcom County Water District
No. 17, at a special meeting held August 14, 1981, adopted such
report as the official comprehensive plan for water facilities
subject to final approval by appropriate Whatcom County and State
of Washington officials; and
WHEREAS, said plan was filed with the T'lhatcom County Council
August 31, 1981; and
WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Council finds that the comprehensiv
plan is in compliance with the County's water facilities plan; and
WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Council is required to reject,
approve, or conditionally approve the plan within ninety (90) days
of submission of said plan to the Whatcom County Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Whatcom County Council
does hereby approve Whatcom County Water District No. 17 Comprehensi
Plan for Water Distribution, adopted by the Commissioners for Whatc
County Water District No. 17, on August 14, 1981, provided that
Chapter 6, page 6 -1 first paragraph second sentence be amended as
follows:
"The primary purpose of this plan is to provide an
adequate range of water facilities specifically
intended to serve the agricultural and rural land
use water needs of the district ".
