Roehl PROPOSED BY Pater District No. 8 RESOLUTION NO. 81-42 A RESOLUTION IN'THE MATTER OF ADOPTING 14HATCOM COUNTY WATER DISTRICT NO. 8 COMPREHENSIVE WATER SYSTEM PLAN WHEREAS, RCW 57.02.040 provides that a county water district is re- quired to prepare a comprehensive plan for water distribution within its bound- aries; and WHEREAS, the Commissioners of Water District No. 8 have adopted such report as the official comprehensive plan for water facilities subject to final approval by appropriate Whatcom County and State of Washington officials; and WHEREAS, the comprehensive plan is in compliance with the basinwide water plan as approved by the State Department of Social and Health Services; and WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Council finds that the comprehensive plan is in compliance with the County's water and sewer facilities plan; and WHEREAS, the County Council is required to reject, approve, or condi- tionally approve the plan within 90 days of the plan submission to the County Council: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Whatcom County Council hereby conditionally adopts the comprehensive plan for water distribution, adopted by the Commissioners for Water District No. 8, dated May 27, 1981, provided Water District No. 8 does recognize the County as the primary authority for serving the Grandview Road heavy impact industrial zone south of the Grandview Road, and, provided further that the District's future service area south boundary shall not be expanded.
