INTRODUCED BY Roehl 2 PROPOSED BY Executive 3 RESOLUTION NO. 81 -1.7 4 A RESOLUTION IN THE MATTER OF DECLAR- ING COUNTY OWNED PROPERTY SURPLUS, 5 NAMELY BURROUGHS EQUIPMENT 6 WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Council passed Resolution No. 81 -� 7 on March 19, 1981, setting a hearing date of May 7, 1981 and 8 directing the Clerk of the council to give notice of such hearing 9 as prescribed by law; and; 10 WHEREAS, the Clerk of the Council caused a notice to be pub - 11 lished in the Bellingham Herald on April 23 and April 30, 1981 12 giving the date, time and place of the public hearing; and, 13 WHEREAS, said public hearing was held on May 7, 1981 at 14 7:30 p.m. in the Whatcom County Council. Chambers, second floor of 15 the Courthouse; and, 16 WIIEREAS, no one from the public spoke for or against the 17 matter of declaring the Burroughs L -4000 Mini Computer and 18 Burroughs Keypunch surplus; and, 19 WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Council deems it in the best 20 interest of the County and the public thereof, to declare 21 said machines surplus. 22 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Whatcom County 23 Council does hereby declare surplus the following: 24 Burroughs L -4000 Mini Computer, Serial No. 001- L33579 25 Burroughs Keypunch, Serial No. A112 -74V 26 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Whatcom County Treasurer, 27 under the direction of the County Executive shall take the 28 necessary steps as provided by Law, to sell to the highest and 29 best bidder the Burroughs machines. 30 PASSED this 7th day of May, 1981. 31 32 Resolution - 1. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 AT'FEST: Joan Ogden Audillor & Ex -of flcio Cley-R of the Council By: Deputy APPROVED AS TO FORM: L.
