HomeMy WebLinkAboutres1981-0091 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 DATE !Iarch 19, 1931 INTRODUCED BY Roehl PROPOSED BY Countv Executive RESOLUTION NO. 81 -9 A RESOLUTION IN THE MATTER OF THE SALE OF WHATCOM COUNTY SURPLUS PROPERTY AND TIIE SETTING OF A DATE FOR PUBLIC HEARING THEREOF, PURSUANT TO R.C.W. 36.34.020 WHEREAS, the following described property -- Burroughs L -4000 Mini- Computer, Serial #001- L33579 Burroughs Keypunch, Serial #A112 -74V is now and has been the property of Whatcom County, and 11 WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Executive has determined that it is for the best interest of the County and the people thereof to sell 12 the above referenced Burroughs equipment because of their outmoded value and surplus nature: 13 IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the County Council of Whatcom County, 14 Washington, that a public hearing on the matter of the sale of said equipment, under said terms, be held on the 7th day of 144v , 1981, 15 at 7:30 PM, or as soon thereafter as is possible, in the Whatcom County Council Chambers, second floor, Whatcom County Courthouse, 16 Bellingham, Washington, for the purpose of admitting testimony for and against the propriety of selling such property: 17 E IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Executive is hereby authorized to 18 emove property from this sale up to the day of the sale, if he eems the property necessary for public use. 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Clerk of the County Council is directed give notice of such hearing in the manner prescribed by law.
