RESOLUTION NO. 82 -70
RESOLUTION SETTING DATE FOR HEARING ON PETITION
FOR ANNEXATION TO WHATCOM COUNTY CEMETERY DISTRICT
NO. 3
WHEREAS,.,a petition has been transmitted by the County Auditoa
to the County Council for the annexation of certain territory here-
inafter described to,Cemetery District No. 3; and,
WHEREAS, the County Auditor has transmitted together with said
petition her certificate of the sufficiency of the signatures of thf
persons signing the petition as qualified, registered electors who
are residents within the boundaries of said area; and,
WHEREAS, it appears in the petition that annexation of such
territory to the Cemetery District will be conducive to the public
safety, welfare,. and convenience;
NOW, THEREOFRE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE WHATCOM COUNTY COUNCIL
as follows:
Section 1.
That a public hearing shall be held on the 20th day of January
1982, at 7 :30 p.m., or as soon thereafter as possible, on the secon
floor of the Whatcom County Courthouse, for the purpose of consider
in the petition for annexation to Whatcomm- County CeRetery Distria-
NO. 3 of the following described territory, to -wit:
Section 35, 36,, Township 41 N. Rap-ge 5 E W.M.
Section 2, 1, 11, 12, 14, 13; 23, 24, 26, 25, 35,
36, Township 40 N. Range 5 E. W.M. Section 2,
1, 11, 12, 14, 13, Towndhip 39 N. Range 5 E. W.M.
Section 2.
That the Clerk of the Council is hereby directed to give Alach
notice of the public hearing as required by statute, informing all
persons wishing to be heard upon the petition that they may appear'
and be heard.
