DATE October 7, 1982 INTRODUCED BY PROPOSED BY _ RESOLUTION NO. 82 -51 Van Zanten )artment of Public Works A RESOLUTION IN THE MATTER OF SETTING A DATE FOR PUBLIC HEARING FOR DECLARING 20,000 CUBIC YARDS OF SCREENINGS OWNED BY WHATCOM COUNTY SURPLUS PURSUANT TO R.C.W. 36.34.020. WHEREAS, the following- described property owned by Whatcom County, and known as the Able gravel pit, is situated in the County of Whatcom, State of Washington, in the southern half of Section 20, Township 39, Range 3 E of W.M., and more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the center of Section 20 thence. South l0 16' 10" West 840.21 feet to the true point of beginning, thence North 880 45' West 669.56 feet; thence North 10 East 841.00 feet; thence North 880 41' West 30 feet; thence South l0 West 650 feet; thence North 880 41' West 237 feet; thence South l0 9' West 223.0 feet; thence South 570 11' 46" West 470.98 feet; thence South l0 16' 40" West 534.58 feet; thence South 880 45' East 1332.69 feet; thence North l0 16' 10" East 830 feet to point of beginning. WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Executive has determined that it is in the best interest of the County and the people thereof to sell said property; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of Whatcom County, Washington, that a public hearing on the matter of declaring 20,000 cubic yards of screenings from the Able gravel pit to be surplus and establishing a public hearing on the matter of sale of said property shall be held on the 4th day of November , 1982, at 7:30 p.m. or as soon thereafter as it is possible, in the Whatcom County Council Chambers, second floor, Whatcom County Courthouse, Bellingham, Washington, for the purpose of admitting testimony for and against the selling of said property. / RESOLUTION - 1. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32.
