RESOLUTION 140. 83 -39
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY EXECUTIVE TO
SUBMIT AN APPLICATION TO THE STATE FOR A COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FOR THE NOR -BELL SE?dER PROJECT
WHEREAS, Whatcom County is applying to the State of
Washington for a Community Development Block Grant; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary that certain conditions be
met as part of the application requirements; and
WHEREAS, Whatcom County has conducted at least one
public hearing as part of the application process, to
receive and consider citizen comments on community
needs and proposed activities; and
WHEREAS, Whatcom County shall enter into and agree to
the assurances contained in the application; and
WHEREAS, The Whatcom County Council has adopted Resolutions
82 -40 on July 6, 1982, 82 -42 on July 15, 1982, and 82 -43
on August 5, 1982, authorizing the County Executive to plan
and develop the Nor -Bell Sewer Project; and
WHEREAS, additional monies are still required to finance
the project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:

John Louws, County Executive, is authorized to submit an application
to the Washington State Planning and Community Affairs Agency for a Community
Development Block Grant for the Nor -Bell Sewer Project.
