3 RESOLUTION NO. 83 -28
4 A RESOLUTION DELINEATING THE AREA OF THE
COUNTY PROPOSED TO BE INCLUDED WITHIN THE
5 TRANSPORTATION BENEFIT AREA
6 WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Revised Code of
7 Washington, Chapter 36.57A, the Whatcom County Public Transporta-
8 tion Improvement Conference passed a resolution finding a need
9 for and that it would be desireable for there to be created
10 within Whatcom County a Public Transportation Benefit Area; and
11 WHEREAS, Whatcom County Public Transportation Improvement
12 Conference Resolution No. I recommends to the County Council
13 that an appropriate initial benefit area should include the
14 boundaries contained in the attached map (Exhibit #1); and
15 WHEREAS, pursuant to Whatcom County Public Transportation
16 Improvement Conference Resolution No. I , the Chairperson of
17 the County Council has scheduled a public hearing for July 12,
18 1983 for the purpose of considering changes in the proposed
19 boundaries and to allow any interested person to appear and be
20 heard on all matters relating to the effect of the formation of
21 the proposed public transportation benefit area; and
22 WHEREAS, pursuant to RCW 36.57A.030 the county governing
23 body is designated to delineate the area of the county proposed
24 to be included within the transportation benefit area;
25 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Whatcom County
26 Council hereby delineates the area to be included in the proposed
27 transportation benefit area to include the boundaries contained
28 in the following precincts of Whatcom County and as depicited
29 on the attached map (Exhibit #1):
30 All precincts of the City of Bellingham, and
Marietta 2, 4, and 5, Van Wyck 1, Park 2,
31 Valley, Lake, Geneva, and Crescent 3.
