RESOLUTION N0. 83 -22
A RESOLUTION IN THE MATTER OF AMENDING
THE SALARY SCHEDULE FOR NON -UNION
WHATCOM COUNTY EMPLOYEES FOR 1983
WHEREAS, a Resolution adopting a salary . schedule for non -union
employees was adopted on November 29, 1982, and
WHEREAS, a vacancy will shortly occur in the position of
Detention Supervisor as a result of a retirement, and
WHEREAS, the management of Juvenile Detention facilities now
requires the employment of professional, trained, supervisory
staff, and
WHEREAS, the Juvenile Probation Department in order to meet the
standards required in the management of the Detention facility
has established job duties, responsibilities and qualifications
for the position of Detention Supervisor which in the opinion of
the Personnel Director justify a reclassification of the posi-
tion to a higher Range in the Classification and Pay Plan, and,
WHEREAS, adequate funds remain in the salary line item of the
1983 Juvenile Court Budget to pay a newly hired Detention
Supervisor at the Range indicated below for the remainder of
1983,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Resolution No. 82 -60 titled
A RESOLUTION IN THE MATTER OF ADOPTING A SALARY SCHEDULE FOR THE
NON -UNION WHATCOM COUNTY EMPLOYEES FOR THE YEAR OF 1983 be, and
hereby is, amended as follows:
