RESOLUTION NO. 83-3
A RESOLUTION OF INTENT IN THE MATTER OF THE ABANDONMENT OF
A PORTION OF SKOOKUM CREEK ROAD
WHEREAS, a new alignment has been established on a portion of County
Road No. 566, Skookum Creek Road, and
WHEREAS, that portion of the Skookum Creek Road running southeasterly
from the Skookum Creek Bridge in Section 27, Township 37 North, Range 5
East, W.M. to the south boundary of Section 35, of said Township and Range
has not been built in the location in which it was established on May 6, 1916.
WHEREAS, the County has received Quit Claim Deeds for the new alignment
of Skookum Creek Road, contingent upon Vacation of the old alignment.
WHEREAS, construction of the new alignment is planned for the summer of
1983.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that it is the intention of this council
to abandon the full width of that portion of County Road No. 566 ( Skookum
Creek Road), as originally established by resolution dated May 6, 1916.
.Beginning at the Skookum Creek Bridge in Section 27, Township 37
North, Range 5 East, W.M., and running thence southeasterly through
Sections 26, 35 and 36 of said Township and Range and terminating
at the south boundary of said Section 35.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Engineer shall make a report of
this portion of road and shall file the same with this Council and proceedings
for abandonment of this portion of road shall then be carried on in the manner
provided in RCW 36.87.010 through .080.
