RESOLUTION NO. 84-36
A RESOLUTION IN THE MATTER OF ESTABLISHING A DATE
FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON WHATCOM COUNTY'S 1985 HOUSINQ
AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PLAN
WHEREAS, on September 1, 1983 the Whatcom County Council adopted
Resolution No. 83 -39 authorizing the County Executive to submit an application
to the State for a Community Development Block Grant to pay the Nor -Bell
Nursing Home's share of the costs of the Nor -Bell Sewer Project; and
WHEREAS, the State Department of Community Development has selected
Whatcom County to receive $87,350 to pay a portion of those costs; and
WHEREAS, Whatcom County must submit a Housing and Community Development
Plan to the State prior to being reimbursed for any costs associated with
the project; and
WHEREAS, the Plan must include at least one public hearing to obtain
views from the public, including those of low- and moderate - income persons;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the date of November 15, 1984 ,
or as soon thereafter as possible, be set for a hearing on the Whatcom County
1985 Housing and Community Development Plan.
