HomeMy WebLinkAboutres1984-0281 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 DRAFT III DATE: September 6, 1984 INTRODUCED BY: Hansey PROPOSED BY: Council Chair RESOLUTION NO. 84 -28 A RESOLUTION SETTING THE EXPIRATION DATES FOR THE MEMBERS OF THE WHATCOM COUNTY BOARD OF EQUALIZATION WHEREAS, the Board of Equalization holds its meetings beginning in May; and, WHEREAS, the Board members have a training session prior to the beginning of their meetings; and, WHEREAS,•the termination date presently set in the Whatcom County Code does not allow for the smooth transition of new Board members onto the Board; and, WHEREAS, presently the terms are set to expire as' follows District 1 Zetta Bracher June 30, 1987 District 2 John Bruton June 30, 1986 Helen Rhea June 30, 1985 District 3 Stan Brunner June 30, 1985 Virginia Walsh June 30, 1986 WHEREAS, it would promote a more orderly flow of new persons onto the Board if the terms ran to January 1st rather than June 30th as presently set; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: ,That the terms for the members presently on the Whatcom County Board of EquAlizati,on shAll terminate as follows: District 1 Zetta Bracher District 2 John Bruton Helen Rhea RESOLUTION - 1.
