RESOLUTION NO. 84 -25
A RESOLUTION IN THE MATTER OF UNANTICIPATED
RECEIPTS OF REVENUE
WHEREAS, the annual budget contains enough revenues and
appropriations to fund each department adequately through-
out the year;
WHEREAS, the practice of budgeting unanticipated net
receipts in a supplemental budget tends to interfere
with the Council's orderly weighing of all budget .
priorities against available revenues;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOVLED,
1. That no request shall be presented for a supplemental
budget to expend unanticipated receipts of revenue;
and, further
2. That such unanticipated receipts or revenue shall accrue
to the ending fund balance of the appropriate fund.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED this resolution shall not apply tot
unanticipated federal and state grants or other circumstances
governed by state or federal law.
