RESOLUTION NO. 84 — 15
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE LOW BIDDER FOR
DEMOLISHING TWO COUNTY -OWNED BUILDINGS AND
AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY EXECUTIVE TO ENTER
INTO A CONTRACT WITH R & R CONSTRUCTION,
FOR THE REMOVAL OF THE TWO STRUCTURES
LOCATED AT 210 PROSPECT STREET AND
217 -221 GRAND AVENUE, BELLINGHAM, WASHINGTON.
WHEREAS, Whatcom County did advertise an invitation to bid for the
demolishing and removal of two County -owned buildings located at 210 Prospect
Street, and 217 -221 Grand Avenue, Bellingham, Washington, on April 16, 1984 in
the Westside Record- Journal and the Bellingham Herald; and
WHEREAS, on May 1, 1984 at 2 :00 p.m., five proposals for demolishing
and removal of the structures were received and opened by the County Purchasing
Agent; and
WHEREAS, R & R Construction of Lynden was the low bidder;
NOW, THEREFORE, the County Council does hereby accept the bid of R & R
Construction of Lynden, Washington, in the amount of $28,700.00 plus 7.8%
Washington State sales tax of $2,238.60 for a total price of $30,938.60 and
authorizes the County Executive to enter into a contract with R & R Construction
for the demolishing and removal of the buildings.
