RESOLUTION NO. 84 -1
A RESOLUTION DECLARING JOHN LOUWS AN OUTSTANDING
CITIZEN OF WHATCOM COUNTY
WHEREAS, John Louws served from 1979 until 1984 as the
first Whatcom County Executive; and
WHEREAS, he shepherded into Whatcom County a new Charter
form of government; and
WHEREAS, his service was characterized by diplorpacy,
skill, extreme courtesy and dedication,
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS UNANIMOUSLY' RESOLVED bythe Whatcom County
Council:
1. That John Louws is declared an outstanding citizen of
Whatcom County; and
2. That the Council extends to him its best wishes and
affection.
PASSED this 5th day of January, 1984.
