RESOLUTION NO. 85-68
A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE CHIEF
CORRECTIONS OFFICER TO RECEIVE PAY ADJUSTMENTS IN ACCORDANCE
WITH THE CORRECTIONS OFFICER AND SUPPORT STAFF COLLECTIVE
BARGAINING AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the County Council has previously agreed to adjust
the salaries of the Chief Corrections Officer, the
Undersheriff and Chief Criminal Deputy to the same percentage
rate as the Sheriff's Collective Bargaining Unit; and
WHEREAS, the Sheriff's Collective Bargaining Unit has now
been divided into two parts; the Corrections Officers and
Support Staff, and the Deputy Sheriff's Collective Bargaining
Unit, and
WHEREAS, the Chief Corrections Officers's salary is more pro-
perly associated with the Corrections Officers and Support
Staff Unit than with the Deputy Sheriff's Unit,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
1. That the Chief Corrections Officer's salary shall,
beginning January 1st, 1986, be adjusted by the same percen-
tage rate or amount authorized members of the Unit under the
then current Corrections Officers and Support Staff
Collective Bargaining Agreement. Provided however, that the
appropriate amendments to the salary resolution be brought
forward to the Council at the appropriate time for approval.
