4 A RESOLUTION IN THE NATTER OF
5 TRANSFERS AFFECTING THE 1985 BUDGET

7 WHEREAS, under the provisions of R.C.W. 36.40.100 budgetary transfers or
revisions within County departments, may be made upon the formal adoption of a
8 Resolution by the County Council of Whatcom County; and,
9 WHEREAS, in order to conform the budget appropriations to the requirements of
the various departments of county government, numerous such transfers are
10 necessary; and,
11 WHEREAS, it is deemed practicable and advisable, in the interest of the
efficient conduct of county business, that the procedure of passing separate
12 esolutions for each transfer required be disposed with:
13 OW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND ORDERED that all such transfers or revisions
ithin a departmental budget be first reviewed and approved by the County
14 xecutive, and the County Auditor is then authorized and directed to make all
uch transfers or revisions upon the records as are lawful and necessary to
15 adjust the various budget accounts to the end that in all instances where the
appropriation accounts would appear to be exceeded by the expenditures
16 hereunder, all such appropriations shall be adjusted to conform to the
xpenditures charged thereto.
