CONFIRMING THE ASSESSMENT ROLL OF PROPERTY WITHIN THE BOUNDARIES
OF WHATCOM COUNTY ROAD IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 2 (MARINELAND
LIGHTING DISTRICT) AND REMANDING ROLL TO THE COUNTY TREASURER
FOR COLLECTION
WHEREAS, on November 21, 1985 , the Whatcom County Council held
a public hearing in the Whatcom County Courthouse, Bellingham, Washington, on
the reassessment of properties within the boundaries of Whatcom County Road
Improvement District No. 2 (Marineland Lighting District) in accordance with an
as provided for in RCW 36.88.090; and,

WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Council did determine that the proposed
assessment roll is equitable and just under the conditions prevailing;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the original assessment roll for
Whatcom County Road Improvement District No. 2, shall be and is hereby set asid�
and a re- assessment of all property within the said District is hereby ordered
and set as follows:
The first annual maintenance assessment shall be based upon a Whatcom '
County Department of Public Works fee of $2.UO per account per year and the rat
of $23.75 per parcel.
The second and each suceedin9 annual maintenance assessment shall be
based upon a Whatcom County Department of Public Works fee of $2.00 per account)
per year and the actual cost of maintenance and power charges of Puget Sound i
Power and Light Company, not to exceed $35.00 per parcel. Prior to the second
and each succeeding annual maintenance assessment, a budget for Whatcom County
Road Improvement District No. 2 shall be submitted to the Whatcom County s
Executive for approval.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Whatcom County Council hereby certifie
the reassessment roll and remands the same to the Treasurer for collection.
