RESOLUTION IN THE MATTER OF SETTING
A DATE FOR PUBLIC HEAkING FOR DECLARING
CERTAIN COUNTY OWNED PROPERTY SURPLUS
PIWPERTY PURSUANT TO RCW 36.34.020
WHEREAS, Whatcom County owns a 24' x 60' Elcar Mobile
Home (1969 model) which is located in the County of Whatcom,
State of Washington, at 3922 South Bay Drive, Sedro Woolley,
Washington 98284; and
WHEREAS, the County Executive has determined that it
is in the best interest of Whatcom County and the neonle thereof
to sell said property;
NOW, TIIEREFORI:, BE IT RESOLVED by the Whatcom County
Council that a public hearing on the matter of declaring =, surnlus
and selling, said property shall be held on the 19th - day of
September 1.985, at 7:30 p.m., or as soon thereafter as
it is possible, in the Whatcom Cuunt.v Council Chambers, Second
Floor, Whatcom County Courthouse, Bellingham, Washington, for
the purpose of hearing* testimony for and ; pa.inst the sale of
said property.

There was no one present to speak, and the public hearing was closed.
Muenscher reported that the Planning and Development Committee
recommended approval of the petition filed by Mr. and Mrs. Chapman.
MUENSCHER MOVED TO APPROVE THE PETITION FOR LOT LINE VACATION
BETWEEN LOTS 345 AND 346, 'DIVISION 22, IN THE PLAT OF SUDDEN VALLEY,
FILED BY MR. AND MRS. CHAPMAN.
The motion carried.
The public hearing was declared open in the matter of declaring
surplus twenty -three (23) County -owned vehicles. There was no one
)resent to speak, and the public hearing was closed.
Becker reported that the Finance Committee had reviewed the
kme,• ,td list of surplus County -owned vehicles and recommended approval

BECKER MOVED TO DECLARE THE TWENTY -THREE (23) COUNTY -OWNED
'EHICLES SURPLUS AS NOTED ON THE AMENDED LIST (SEE ATTACHED).

Becker reported that the Finance Committee had reviewed the
equest by the Parks Department to declare an Elcar mobile home
urplus and recommended approvalv.with a minimum bid for the mobile
ome to be set at $10,000.00.
BECKER MOVED TO DECLARE THE ELCAR MOBILE HOME SURPLUS, WITH
MINIMUM BID FOR THE MOBILE HOME TO BE SET AT $10,000.00.
The motion carried.

The 24' x 60' Elcar.Mobile Home located at 3922 South Bay Dr.,
Sedro Woolley, Washington was offered for sale on November 2, 1985.
There were no bidders, therefore the mobile home was not sold.
This is a request to lower the minimum bid to $5,000.00. After
your approval Parks and Purchasing Office would advertise the
mobile home for bids in the official newspaper of Whatcom
County with a minimum of $5,000,00
If you have any questions on this subject, please do not
