RESOLUTION NO. 85 -39
A RESOLUTION REGARDING NOOKSACK PROPOSED HAZARDOUS
WASTE INCINERATOR
WHEREAS, 'a substantial number of Whatcom County citizens
believe that the proposed Nooksack hazardous waste
incinerator poses a grave risk to the envoronment of the
water shed; and
WHEREAS, citizens have expressed their concern about
potential hazards to the drinking water.supplies of
Ferndale, Lynden and Everson;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Whatcom County Admini! §tr.a-
tion shall seek cooperation with pertinent tribal and monitoring
agencies and Glean, Inc., the company proposing to build the
incinerator; so that Whatcom County is able to closely study the
development of this project.
