4 RESOLUTION NO. 85 -28
5 RESOLUTION IMPLEMENTING RESOLUTION NO. 85 -17
INTO THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN

7 WHEREAS, on the 4th day of April, 1985, the Whatcom County
8 Council enacted a resolution covering the integrated roadside
9 vegetation management program; and,
10 WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Council deems it important to
11 have the Whatcom County Comprehensive Plan and zoning codes to
12 reflect the policies established in Resolution No. 85 -17; and
13 WHEREAS, the Planning Commission and Planning Department
14 should be directed to implement these changes into the Comprehen-
15 sive Plan,
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Whatcom County Council
17 that in the normal course of future plan and zoning reviews, the
i8 Planning Commission and the Planning Department are requested to
19 implement the decision of the Council in Resolution No. 85 -17
20 regarding herbicide policies through appropriate amendments to the
21 Comprehensive Plan and zoning code, with particular attention
22 being given to the identification of areas where herbicide use
23 should be prohibited or restricted.
