RESOLUTION NO. 85 -24
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY EXECUTIVE TO
ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH FOSS SHIPYARD, A
DIVISION OF FOSS LAUNCH AND TUG CO. FOR DRYDOCKING
AND REPAIRS TO THE COUNTY -OWNED FERRY ( WHATCOM
CHIEF) IN THE AMOUNT OF $85,851.17 INCLUDING STATE
SALES TAX.
WHEREAS, Whatcom County Department of Public Works has advertised and „
received four bids in accordance with the bid laws of the State of Washington;
and
WHEREAS, the bids were opened on Tuesday, April 9, 1985; and
WHEREAS, Foss Shipyard, a Divison of Foss Launch and Tug Co. was the
low bidder in the amount of $85,851.17 including State sales tax; and
WHEREAS, the Public Works staff has reviewed and determined that Foss
Shipyard, a Divison of Foss Launch and Tug Co. facilities are adequate to per-
form the work in accordance with the contract;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the County Executive is hereby
authorized to enter into an agreement by and between Whatcom County and Foss
Shipyard, a Divison of Foss Launch and Tug Co. to perform the service as stipu-
lated within the contract for the agreed bid price. The contract sum shall be
paid from the County Equipment Rental and Revolving fund.
