RESOLUTION NO. 85 -16
A RESOLUTION CALLING FOR BID PROPOSALS TO BE
SUBMITTED BY QUALIFIED LEGAL NEWSPAPERS TO
SERVE AS THE OFFICIAL COUNTY NEWSPAPER FOR
THE PERIOD OF JULY 1, 1985 THROUGH JUNE 30, 1986
WHEREAS, the Revised Code of Washington 36.72.075 requires
the County Council to let a contract to a legal news -
paper to serve as the official county newspaper for the
term of one year beginning on the first day of July; and
WHEREAS, said statute requires the County Auditor to
advertise for bid proposals to be submitted by interested,
qualified legal newspapers to serve as the official
county newspaper; and,
WHEREAS, said advertisement shall be made at least five
(5) weeks before the meeting at which the County Council
shall let the contract for the official county newspaper;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the County Auditor be, and
i.s hereby, directed to issue a call.for bids for the official
county newspaper for the year beginning.July 1, 1985 and ending
june 30, 1985, both dates inclusive. Said bids to be opened and
considered at 10 :00 a.m., Wednesday, May 1, 1985, in the Council
Chambers, second floor of the Courthouse, Bellingham, Washington.
