RESOLUTION NO. 85 -9
A RESOLUTION TO SELL REAL PROPERTY ACQUIRED
BY COUNTY ON TAX FORECLOSURE
WHEREAS, RCW 84.64.270 allows the County to sell real
property acquired by tax foreclosure where it is found to be in
the best interest of the County to sell the same; and,
WHEREAS, Whatcom County has obtained title to lots lo-
cated at Sudden Valley, Division 14, Lot 84, Sudden Valley, Divi-
sion 29, Lot 73, and Sudden Valley, Division 22, Lot 24; and,
WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Council deems it in the
best interest of the County to sell these lots; and,
WHEREAS, RCW 84.64.270 allows the County to reserve from
the sale coal, oil, gas, gravel, minerals, ores, fossils, timber
or other resources, on or in said lands and the right to mine
for and remove the same; and,
WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Council deems it in the best
interest of the County to reserve to the County the aforementioned
mineral rights; and,
WHEREAS, RCW 84.64.270 requires the Council to establish
the minimum price for each unit, the Council therefore establishes
the prices as follows:
Sudden Valley,
Lot 84
Sudden Valley,
Lot 73
Sudden Valley,
Lot 204
Division 14 $894.70 CASH
plus costs
Division 29 $669.10 CASH
plus costs
Division 22 $1,419.28 CASH
plus costs
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT it is in the best
interests of the County to sell Sudden Valley, Division 14, Lot
84 for $894.70 cash, plus costs, reserving to the County the coal,
oil, gas, gravel, minerals, ores, fossils, timber or other

resources on or in said lands and the right to mine for and remove
the same to the County; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT it is in the best interest
of the County to sell Sudden Valley, Division 29, Lot 73, for
$669.10 cash, plus costs, reserving to the County the coal, oil,
gas, gravel, minerals, ores, fossils, timber or other resources
on or in said lands and the right to mine for and remove the
same to the County; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that it is in the best interest
of the County to sell Sudden Valley, Division 22, Lot 204 for
$1,419.28 cash, plus costs, reserving to the County the coal,
oil, gas, gravel, minerals, ores, fossils, timber or other re-
sources on or in said lands and the right to mine for and remove
the same to the County; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Whatcom County Treasurer
is hereby directed to sell such property in the unit or units as
described at not less than the price or prices subject to the
reservation so fixed by the County Legislative authority. Said
sale shall take place in accordance with the duties as established
in RCW 84.64.270.
