DATE INTRODUCED: R_1-g _8r, RESOLUTION NO. 86 -35 A RESOLUTION IN THE MATTER OF SETTING A DATE FOR PUBLIC HEARING FOR DECLARING A CERTAIN PARCEL OF PROPERTY, COMMONLY KNOWN AS G -2, OWNED BY WHATCOM COUNTY, SURPLUS PURSUANT TO RCW 36.34.020. WHEREAS, the following described property located in the County of Whatcom, City of Everson, State of Washington, located on Robinson Street and situated in Section 36, Township 40 N, Range 3E of W.M., more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the point of the westerly line of the right -of -way of the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railway Company 992 feet nort of the south line of said Section 36, thence west parallel with the south line of said Section 36 a distance of 191 feet; thence northerly parallel with the west line of said railroad right -of -way 282.98 feet, more or less, to the south boundary of a strip 30 feet wide; thence east along the south line of said strip to the westerly line of said railroad right -of -way a distance of 191 feet; thence southerly along the westerly line of said railroad right -of -way 282.36 feet to the point of beginning. Beginning at the intersection with the south line of the Southeast Quarter of Section 36, Township 40 N, Range 3 E of W.M. and the west line of Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railroad Company right -of -way; thence north along the west line of the above right -of- way a distance of 992 feet; thence westerly and parallel with the sou t line of said Southeast Quarter a distance of 191 feet to the true poin of beginning; thence continuing westerly a distance of 50 feet; thence north and parallel with the west line of said railroad right -of -way a distance of 282.86 feet; thence east and parallel with the south line of said Southeast Quarter a distance of 50 feet; thence southerly and parallel with the west line of said railroad right -of -way a distance o 282.86 feet to the true point of beginning. Beginning at the intersection with the south line of the Southeast Quarter of Section 36, Township 40 N., Range 3 E. of W.M. and the west line of the Chicago, Milwukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railroad Company right -of -way; thence northerly along the west line of the above right - of -way a distance of 992 feet; thence westerly and parallel with the south line at said Southeast Quarter a distance of 241 feet; to the true point of beginning; thence cointinuing westerly a distance of 100 feet; thence north and parallel with the west line of said railroad right -of -way a distance of 282.86 feet, more or less, to the south lin of the road; thence easterly along said road 100 feet; thence southerl and parallel with the west line of said railroad right -of -way 282.86 feet, more or less, to the true point of beginning. is now and has been the property of Whatcom County; and RESOLUTION - 1. Date drafted: 6/13/86 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13. 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Executive and the Whatcom County Council have determined that it is in the best interest of the County and the people thereof to sell said property; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of Whatcom County, Washington, that a public hearing on the matter of declaring surplus and establishing a public hearing on the matter of sale of said property shall be held on the day of 1986, at 7:30 p.m., or as soon thereafter as it is possible, in the Whatcom County Council Chambers, second floor, Whatcom County Courthouse, Bellingham, Washington, for the purpose of admitting testimony for and against the selling of said property.
