RESOLUTION NO. 86 -16
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY EXECUTIVE TO ENTER
INTO A CONTRACT FOR CONSULTING SERVICES WITH G.H.R. &
ASSOCIATES FOR THE PURPOSE OF DESIGN AND SUPERVISION
OF CONSTRUCTION OF STORM DRAINAGE PROJECT LOCATED AT
CLIFFSIDE SUBDIVISION SOUTH OF MARINE DRIVE IN THE
UNINCORPORATED AREA OF WHATCOM COUNTY
WHEREAS, submittals to RFP (request for proposal) have been received i
accordance with the Revised Code of Washington and County ordinances; and
WHEREAS, a Selection Review Committee has reviewed the submittals and
selected G.H.R. & Associates as their first choice and recommended to the Count
Executive that a contract be entered into with G.H.R. & Associates for design,
engineering, surveying and project management of the Cliffside drainage project
and
WHEREAS, it is determined by the Whatcom County Council that it is
necessary to enter into an agreement with consulting engineers at this time to
provide the services included in Exhibit A attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, the consultants hereby agree to perform those services speci-
fically set forth within the agreement by and between Whatcom County and the
consultant, including Exhibit A attached hereto;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Whatcom County Executive is
hereby authorized to enter into an agreement by and between Whatcom County and
G.H.R. & Associates to perform services as stated within the agreement and in
accordance with the Scope of Work (Exhibit A).
The agreement for consulting services between Whatcom County and G.H.R.
& Associates shall stipulate reimbursement to the consultant for services ren-
dered in a sum not to exceed $ 26, 000. 00, and said sum includes costs inciden-
tal to and necessary for the completion of the Cliffside drainage project. The
schedule of charges is set forth in Exhibit B attached hereto. The sums shall
be paid in monthly installments as costs are incurred and billed by the con-
sultant firm.
