COUNCILMAN, 1st District
WHEREAS; the Whatcom County Council, would like to
think ourselves as a family, and,
WHEREAS; each and every one of us as individuals with
our own thoughts to each and every issue,and,
WHEREAS; agreeing 92.333% of the time belies the notion
of disagreeing, and,
WHEREAS; you Craig Cole, Councilman from the 1st District,
has contributed greatly to this family and for the well being
of the citizens of Whatcom County, and,
WHEREAS; your expertise and endless effort has made
Whatcom County a better place to live in, and,
WHEREAS; you came to us from we don't know where, and,
WHEREAS: it has been mentioned that you could have been
the mysterious Court House Sage, and,
WHEREAS, of your wit and humor at times leaves us without
an award, and,
WHEREAS, you concocted to the State Legislators and
to the Governor a resolution declaring "Louie Louie" the
State song, and,
WHEREAS, a mumbled vote by Council passed same and was
sent on to the State Legislators and to the Governor for
consideration, and,
WIIEREAS; Mrs. Davis' State song, "Washington My Home"
became famous, and,
WIIEREAS; for your endeavors you are honored with the
Mrs. Davis' State song award with a three -week confined stay
at Mrs. Davis' home learning the lyrics to the "Washington
My Home" and,
WHEREAS, after receiving this honored award, and,
WHEREAS, your stay lasted only one night as you had
committed a crime by chopping up the State song in the bath
tub, and,
WHEREAS, it has never been seen since, and,
WIIEREAS, you were arrested and escorted back to Whatcom
County by Sheriff Larry Mount to face charges,and,
WHEREAS, Prosecuting Attorney Dave McEachren pressed for
your head by hanging, and,
