RESOLUTION NO. 85_1
A RESOLUTION ENCOURAGING THE PARK AND
RECREATION BOARD TO IDENTIFY METHODS
OF ENHANCING PUBLIC ACCESS TO SHORELINES
WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Council adopted Resolution
No. 85 -46, "Resolution on the Preservation and Acquisi-
tion of Public Access to and Use of the Shorelines of
Whatcom County "; and
WHEREAS, the Park and Recreation Board has delivered, as
requested by Resolution No.85 -46, a report dated
November 15, 1985 suggesting ways and means of acquiring
and preserving public access to the shorelines,
NOW, THEREFORE, the Whatcom County Council resolves as
follows:
1. That the Park and Recreation Board is commended for
its efforts producing the report; and
2. The Board is encouraged to identify and pursue
specific methods of implementing the recommenda-
tions contained in its report and to seek such
approvals and assistance from the Executive and
Council as may be necessary.
