A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE WHATCOM
5 COUNTY 1988 ROAD CONSTRUCTION PROGRAM
6 WHEREAS, pursuant to RCW 36.81.130, the Whatcom County Engineer did
7 file with the Whatcom County Council a recommended plan for the laying out,
8 construction, maintenance and special maintenance of county roads for the fiscal
9 year of 1988; and
10 WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Council held a public hearing on the 19th
11 day of November, 1987, and has considered the testimony given as well as the
12 recommended plan; and
13. WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Council has determined that said plan is
14 necessary as nearly as practicable to the Whatcom County Six -Year Transportatior
15 Improvement Program, adopted by Resolution 87 -25, June 18, 1987; and
16 WHEREAS, it is the intent of the Whatcom County Council to adopt the
17 Whatcom County 1988 road construction program;
18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the 1988 Whatcom County Road
19 Construction Program be and is hereby adopted as shown on the attachment hereto.
20 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that no changes be made in the program without
21 unanimous vote of the Whatcom County Council.
22 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County shall consider the expressed
23 concerns of the residents of the Pole Road construction project area in pro -
24 ceeding with the project.
25 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Annual Construction Program be filed
26 with the Director of Highways of the State of Washington.
27 PASSED this 24th day of November 1987.
