8 A RESOLUTION IN THE MATTER OF ESTABLISHING
A COUNTY POLICY ON GRAVEL ROAD CONVERSIONS
9 BITUMINUS SURFACE TREATMENT
10 WHEREAS, it is the intent of the County Counci ] to
11 establish a policy on converting gravel surfaced roads to
12 bituminus surface treatment; and,
13
14 WHEREAS, such surface .improvements are for maintenanc?
15 purposes and dust control; and,
16
17 WHEREAS, such improvements arse not fo1 new
18 construction; and,
19
20 WHEREAS, the County desires to participate in th, rost.
21 of any improvements;

23 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

25 When converting a gravel road to blt:uminus the cost of
26 the project will be established by the Whatcom County F.nginr,er's
27 Office and it is expected that the policy of Whatcom County to
28 get financial participation by the adjoining landowners in
- Resolution - 1.
