RESOLUTION NO. 87 -34
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY EXECUTIVE TO ENTER
INTO AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT BY AND BETWEEN WHATCOM
COUNTY AND THE BELLINGHAM AND WHATCOM COUNTY HEALTH
DISTRICT IN ACCORDANCE WITH RCW 39.34.030 SUBSECTION 2.
WHEREAS, Bellingham and Whatcom County Health District has requested to
enter into a contractual agreement for custodial and maintenance services for
the health district's facilities; and
WHEREAS, RCW Chapter 39.34 provides that the County may enter into a
contractual agreement with any municipality, state or federal agency upon appro-
val of the legislative body either by ordinance, resolution or otherwise pur-
suant to the laws of the governing body;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the County Council of Whatcom
County, Washington, hereby authorizes the County Executive to enter into an
interlocal agreement by and between Whatcom County and the Bellingham and
Whatcom County Health District for the purpose of providing facility maintenance
services.
