HomeMy WebLinkAboutres1988-0621 2 • 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13. 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 Z8 29 30 31 32 INTRODUCED BY: Consent PROPOSED BY: Treasurer DATE: November 17, 1988 RESOLU'T'ION NO. 88 -62 A RESOLUTION FOR HEARING AND NOTICE OF HEARING ON SALE OF COUNTY TAX TITLE PROPERTY REQUEST NO. 3 WHEREAS, the following described property is now, and has been the property of the County of Whatcom, State of Washington since 2 /20/87 & 2/26 1988; and, WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Council does deem it in the best interest of the County and the people thereof that said property be sold; and, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that it is in the best interest to sell Sudden Valley Division #9, Lot 133, for the minimum price of $761.55, plus costs, and further in this sale transferring mineral rights; Sudden Valley Division #13, Lot 64, for the minimum price of $834.65, plus costs, and further in this sale transferring mineral rights; Sudden Valley Division #13, Lot .77, for the minimum price of $812.88, plus costs, and further in this sale transferring mineral rights; Sudden Valley Division #13, Lot 90, for the minimum price of $864.65, plus costs, and further in this sale transferring mineral rights; Sudden Valley Division #13, Lot 110, for the minimum price of $966.36, plus costs, and further in this sale transferring mineral rights; and, Sudden Valley Division #13, Lot 99, for the minimum price of $774.28, plus costs, and further in this sale transferring mineral rights. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said price shall not be allowed under contract and shall be paid in either cash, certified check, or money order to the Whatcom County Treasurer at the time of sale; and, i 1 WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Council deems that the price of 2 $761.55, $834.65, $812.88, $864.65, $966.36 and $774.28 is the 3 minimum price for said lots and that it is low enough not to 4 accept a contract on this price but would be in the County's best 5 interest and the Council would require that this amount be paid 6 in cash; ' 7 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that it is in the best 8 interest of the County to sell Sudden Valley Division #9, Lot 133 9 for the minimum price of $761.55; Sudden Valley Division #13, Lot 10 64 for the minimum price of $834.65; Sudden Valley Division #13, 11 Lot 77 for the minimum price of $812.88; Sudden Valley Division 12 #13, Lot 90 `for the minimum 'price of $864.65; Sudden Valley 13. Division #13, Lot 110 for. the minimum price of $966.36; and, 14 Sudden Valley Division #13, Lot 99 for the minimum price of 15 $774.28 plus costs and further in this sale transferring to the 16 owner all coal, oil, gas, gravel, minerals, ores, fossils, timber 17 or other resources on or in said lands and the right to mine for 18 and remove the same in conformity with zoning regulations in 19 force and effect; 20 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said Jot(s) shall be sold 21 subject to the restrictive covenant allowing for imposition 22 of Community Association fees as set forth in Whatcom County 23 Resolution No. 88 -37; 24 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this sale shall be subject to 25 the certification of the County Treasurer. Once the Treasurer 26 shall certify that the price set in this Resolution is the actual 27 amount of taxes which are owed to the County as provided for in 28 RCW 86.64.270, he shall direct the sale to take place; 29 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said price shall not be allowed 30 under contract and shall be paid in either cash, certified check, 31 or money order to the Whatcom County Treasurer at the time of 32 sale; P 1 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Whatcom County Council, that a 2 public hearing on the matter of the sale of said property, under 3 said terms, be held on the 15th day of .December , 4 1988, at 7:00 p.m., at the Whatcom County Courthouse , Whatcom 8 County, Washington; and, 6 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the Whatcom County 7 Council shall give Notice of such hearing in the manner 8 prescribed by law under R.C.W. 36.34.030. 9 DATED this 17 day of November , 1988 10 WHATCOM COUNTY COUNCIL 11 WHATCOM COUNTY, WASHINGTON 12 13.
