RESOLUTION NO. 88 -20
A RESOLUTION CLARIFYING RESOLUTION NO. 87 -63
ADDING THE MEMBERS OF THE BOUNDARY REVIEW BOARD
TO THOSE EMPLOYEES DEFENDED BY WHATCOM COUNTY
WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Council established a
policy not to defend members of councils and boards that
Whatcom County did not appoint; and,
WHEREAS, there is an exception to that policy that
being the Boundary Review Board Members which are appointed by
the Governor of the State of Washington and advised by Whatcom
County; and,
WHEREAS, it is the intent of the Whatcom County
Council to include the members of that body within the scope of
the defense established in Resolution No. 87 -63.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that:
Resolution No.87 -63 shall be clarified in that it is
the policy of. the Whatcom County Council to defend the
officers and board members of the Whatcom County Boundary
Review Board.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that:
All other terms and conditions of Resolution No. 87 -63
shall remain in full force and effect.
