RESOLUTION NO. 88 -17
RESOLUTION DIRECTING THE ADMINISTRATION
TO BEGIN SITING A NEW COUNTY LANDFILL
WHEREAS, the County's only operable sanitary landfill off
Cedarville Road is nearing its capacity; and,
WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Council has reviewed
alternatives to a County -owned and operated landfill, and
determined that the best interests of the citizens of the County
will be served by a County -owned facility.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the administration is
hereby authorized and requested to begin the procedure for siting
a new County -owned sanitary landfill.
