RESOLUTION NO. 88 -8
A RESOLUTION CALLING FOR BID PROPOSALS TO BE
SUBMITTED BY QUALIFIED LEGAL NEWSPAPERS TO
SERVE AS THE OFFICIAL COUNTY NEWSPAPER FOR
THE PERIOD OF JULY 1, 1988 THROUGH JUNE 30,
1989
WHEREAS, Revised Code of Washington 36.7075 requires
the County Council to let a contract to a legal
newspaper to serve as the official county newspaper for
the term of one year beginning on the first day of
July; and,
WHEREAS, said statute requires the County Auditor to
advertise for bid proposals to be submitted by
interested, qualified legal newspapers to serve as the
official county newspaper; and,
WHEREAS, said advertisement shall be made at least five
(5) weeks before the meeting at which the County
Council shall let the contract for the official County
newspaper.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the County Auditor be,
and is hereby, directed to issue a call for bids for the official
County newspaper for the year beginning July 1, 1988 and ending
June 30, 1989, both dates inclusive. Said bids to be opened and
considered at 10 :00 a.m., Wednesday, March 23, 1988, in the
Council Conference Room, Second floor of the Courthouse,
Bellingham, Washington.
