RESOLUTION NO. 88 -6
A RESOLUTION IN THE NATTER OF AUTHORIZING
THE ADDITION OF A NEW POSITION IN THE
OFFICE OF THE CLERK AND A PART TINE POSITION
IN THE SUPERIOR COURT ASSIGNED COUNSEL
WHEREAS, Ordinance 87 -80, Section fI, proviso (A) requires
approval of the Council for the addition of personnel positions to
the 1988 budget plan; and,
WHEREAS, the Council Committee of the Whole has endorsed the
Executive proposed reorganization for the Clerk of the Superior
Court; and,
WHEREAS, a clerical position can be added to the Clerk's office as
a result of the proposed reorganization Without additional
appropriation authority; and,
WHEREAS, the Assigned Counsel function Will be performed by a
part -time permanent position to be added to the Superior Court
budget through intra - departmental transfers; and,
WHEREAS, the Clerk's office needs the additional staff person to
perform necessary functions in support of the Superior Court;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED the County Council hereby approves
the addition of one clerical level position in the Clerk of the
Superior Court budget plan and one part -time assigned counsel
coordinator position to be added to the Superior Court budget plan
to be financed through existing appropriation authority
transferred to the proper line items.
