RESOLUTION NO. 88 -2
RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION TO R.W. "BOB" MUENSCHER
FOR HIS SERVICE ON THE WHATCOM COUNTY COUNCIL
WHEREAS, R.W. "Bob" Muenscher has served honorably as a
member of the Whatcom County Council, representing the Second
District, since May 1, 1979; and
WHEREAS, Bob has served as Executive Pro Tem, has been a
valuable member of Council committees, has received numerous
appointments to County boards and commissions, and has been an
effective representative of Whatcom County to the Washington
State Association of Counties; and
WHEREAS, his years of.service on the Health Board, the
Council of Governments, and the Northwest Air Pollution Authority
Board in particular will be well- remembered for his
contributions; and
WHEREAS, Bob devoted a great deal of his time to the
development of the comprehensive zoning plan, and was
instrumental in ensuring the protection of Whatcom County's
agricultural land; and
WHEREAS, Bob has maintained high standards of public
service, dedicating his time and energy to the concerns of
Whatcom County; and
WHEREAS, Bob's dependable and capable participation in
County government and thorough approach to the issues have been
highly valued by the Council and the citizens of Whatcom County;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Whatcom County
lCouncil commends R.W. "Bob" Muenscher for his service to the
citizens of Whatcom County and wishes him well in his future
endeavors.
