RESOLUTION NO. 89 -110
RESOLUTION IN THE MATTER OF DEDICATING CERTAIN
COUNTY -OWNED REAL PROPERTY FOR PUBLIC USE AS A
STREET TO THE CITY OF BLAINE.
WHEREAS, Whatcom County owns certain real property located
within the City of Blaine, and
WHEREAS, a portion of said property, through an agreement with
the Trillium Corporation and David R. and Kay E. Syre, is used as
a right -of -way easement for the purpose of providing ingress and
egress and utilities inside the City of Blaine in the Semiahmoo
spit area, a strip of land 30 feet wide and 5,550 feet in distance,
more or less, more properly described in Exhibit A and deed
attached hereto and made part of this resolution, and
WHEREAS, there exists an agreement between the Trillium
Corporation, David R. and Kay E. Syre and Whatcom County, and which
agreement provides for ingress and egress, utilities and
maintenance but which will expire in 1990, and
WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Council desires to dedicate to the
City of Blaine said property as described in Exhibit A and deed
attached hereto for public use as a city street,
WHEREAS, the County has received the attached prior written
approval from the Trillium Corporation,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Whatcom County Council
does hereby dedicate certain County -owned real property and
authorizes the County Executive to approve the quit claim deed to
the City of Blaine for said 30 foot wide strip, approximately 5,550
feet in distance, more or less, and in accordance with the
agreement between the Trillium Corporation, David R. and Kay E.
Syre, Section 8, which provides for written consent by the Trillium
Corporation prior to dedication, and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that in accordance with RCW 36.34.300,
RCW 36.73.010, RCW 36.75.205 and Whatcom County Home Rule Charter,
the County Council does hereby dedicate and convey to the City of
Blaine certain County -owned real property as described herein for
use as a public street, and said Resolution shall be made and
entered upon the records designating the land so dedicated and
shall cause a certified copy of the order to be recorded in the
Auditor's office.
