SR 9 WHEREAS, the County of Whatcom is the record owner of the following described lands: As in Quit Claim Deed attached. WHEREAS, in the improvement of State Route 546, Jct. SR 539 to Jct. Sr 9 by the State of Washington, Department of Transportation, it: is necessary and advisable for the State of Washington to acquire title to the following descr.rbed portion of said lands for a right of way fo said highway: As in Quit Claim Deed attached. SR 9 KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS, That the Grantor, WHATCOM COUNTY, a political subdivision of the State of Washington, for and in consideration of MUTUAL BENEFITS, convey(s) and quit claim(s) to the State of Washington the following described real estate, and any after acquired interest therein, situated in Whatcom County, in the State of Washington, to the same extent and purpose as if the rights herein granted had been acquired under Eminent Domain statutes of the State of Washington: All county road rights of way, together with all appurtenances thereto, also all those pertinent considerations in abutting plats or short plats of record to said State Route 546, if any, for roads, easements, drainage easements, screening easements, slopes, platting /zoning matters of whatsoever nature, and /or any other wordage /language /delineations on the face of said plats whereby /wherein the above named grantor may have /claim any rights, title and interest therein/ therefor, all as located within the project right of way limits of said State Route 546, Jct. SR 539 to Jct. SR 9. The specific details concerning all of which are to be found in that certain map of definite location now of record and on file in the office of the Secretary of Transportation at Olympia, and bearing date of approval September 18, 1986, and various revision dates. It is understood and agreed that the delivery of this deed is hereby tendered and that the terms and obligations hereof shall not become binding upon the State of Washington unless and until accepted and approved hereon in writing for the State of Washington, Department of Transportation, by its Secretary or his duly authorized representative.
