1 RESOLUTION NO. 89 -44
2 IN THE MATTER OF FORMALLY ESTABLISHING
3 CRP 99173, AND AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR
4 RECONSTRUCTION OF HAYNIE ROAD
5 WHEREAS, this project is included in the officially adopted annual road
6 program as item no. 11;
7 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Whatcom County Council:
8 That CRP 99173 is formally established for the reconstruction of Haynie
9 Road; and
10 The contract for this project is awarded to Callen Construction Company
11 for the amount of their bid of $311,035; and
12 An appropriation from the officially adopted road fund budget and based
13 on the County Engineer's estimate is hereby made in the amounts and for the
14 purposes shown:
15 PURPOSE AMOUNT OF APPROPRIATION
16 Engineering $ 12,000
0 Right -of -Way acquisition 30.000
18 SUBTOTAL $ 42,000.00
19 Construction $ 346,000
20 Construction engineering
21 and contingencies 30.000
22 TOTAL $ 418.000.00
23 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the construction is to be accomplished by
24 contract in accordance with RCW 36.77.020 et. seq.,-and is to be accomplished
25 by County forces in accordance with RCW 36.77.060 and WAC 136 -,18.
