A RESOLUTION IN THE MATTER OF SETTING A
DATE FOR PUBLIC HEARING FOR DECLARING A
CERTAIN PARCEL OF PROPERTY, LOCATED
ADJACENT TO COUNTY PARK DEPARTMENT RIFLE
RANGE, OWNED BY WHATCOM COUNTY, SURPLUS
PURSUANT TO RCW 36.34.020.
WHEREAS, the following described property, located in the County of
Whatcom, State of Washington, adjacent to Whatcom County Park Department Rifle
Range in the Lake Samish area and situated in Sections 14 and 15, Township 37N,
Range 3E of W.M., more particularly described as follows:
Parcel No. 370314006067
TR 300 ft wide 200 ft long in SW SW Section 14 -SE
SE Section 15 lying easterly of PAR WI- contiguous
to line drawn 50 ft northwesterly of PAR WI C/L
Highway One Lake Samish vicinity - EXT FR Highway
Engineer's Station 823 +00 northwesterly to Highway
Engineer's Station 825 +00;
is now and has been the property of Whatcom County; and
WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Executive and the Whatcom County Council
have determined that it is necessary to hold a public hering to determine if it
is in the best interest of the County and the people thereof to sell said pro-
perty;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of Whatcom County,
Washington, that a public hearing on the matter of declaring said property
surplus shall be held on the 4th day of May , 1989, at 7:00
p.m., or as soon thereafter as it is possible, in the Whatcom County Council
